Back in 1956 there weren't many
places to dance in Western Hennepin
County especially for four eager
entrepreneurs of the Medina
Entertainment Center. According to
Bob Raskob, he and his two brothers,
Cliff and Joe, along with their
friend Norm Vansloun, decided they
would do something to solve the
problem. They decided to build an
Entertainment Center near their home
that could be open year round. Norm
sold his share a few years after its
inception,
and both Joe and Cliff Raskob
retired in 1988.
The Medina Entertainment Center
started out as a family-run business
and continues to be.
Watch for our exciting plans to
celebrate our 50 years!
